Can termites eat through concrete?
No. Termites do not eat concrete, but concrete construction does not make a home termite-proof. They can reach timber through cracks, joints and gaps around services, or build mud tubes across hard surfaces. Wooden cupboards, door frames and other cellulose-containing materials can still be at risk. (Ask Extension: Termites and building materials; Mississippi State: Termite entry and signs)
What matters is whether termites have a route to suitable food and moisture, not simply whether the building has concrete walls. Look for mud tubes, damaged timber or emerging winged insects, and have suspicious findings assessed. A concrete surface alone cannot tell you whether the wood behind or beside it is affected.
